Vicksburg Trip - July 2014

We had a great trip to Vicksburg at the beginning of July!  We stayed with Tim and Sandi at their new house, and it was a beautiful place with lots of place for everyone to run around and play!

We drove through Tech on our way down....this is Paine dorm, where Sara, Mikayla, and I lived our sophomore year. Great memories here!!

I've gotten a little behind with my posting...here are some July pictures!

Silas has started to really enjoy coloring!

 We have had a week of awesome weather (highs in the 70s), so the kids and I have spent lots of time outside!  This was a picnic lunch one day...

 Brittany (our niece) stayed with us for several days recently!  We all enjoyed having her with us for some extra time!

 After our recent trip to Vicksburg (another post soon), we drove to Batesville, MS to visit Pops!

 What we picked from our garden after being gone for a few days. We have continued to pick almost this amount every few days!  (plus some okra)

Our friends gave us tickets to the rodeo...we had a great time!  Silas and I stayed until 9:00, and Seth and the older kids stayed for the whole rodeo!  (until after 10)

 Caleb makes some of the coolest Lego inventions!  This was a house that opened up and had all of these realistic things inside.

 Granna and Poppa taught us how to can green beans!  Since then, we have canned 2 more times. (we have about 24 quarts of green beans in our pantry!)  I love seeing the jars lined up in there!

Caleb got a marble run from Granna and Poppa for his birthday. He absolutely LOVES it!!

We had a joint birthday party for the 2nd row in a year for Caleb(6), Lainey(4), and Anna Ruth(3)!  We had it at Gulley Park, and just kept it easy and fun!

 Lainey got a very special present from Grandma and Papaw.  An American Girl doll!!  (a special gift for the 4 year old grandgirls!)  I chose Addy for her, and she adores her! :)
